A Fast Stress Reliever

Standard advice on relieving stress seems designed for a slower- paced era gone by--meditate for an hour a day, take a two-week vacation, acquire a new hobby. Give me a break. Most people barely have time for respiration. Fortunately, that just happens to be the world's fastest stress relief--deep breaths.

What can you do today?
When you're feeling tense, take two deep breaths, right there at your desk. That can take the edge off. Need an extra-strength stress reliever but have no time for it? Stand and stretch while you're taking those two deep breaths. It ain't two weeks in Tahiti, but it can help.
