When You're Feeling Worthless

By Marty Nemko

"I feel worthless. I can't motivate myself to do much of anything."

What can you do today?
Do something: Get into a hobby, volunteer, whatever. Or if you'd like a new job, take a baby step to kick-start your job search: answer one want ad, role play an interview with a friend, send an honest, human letter to a dream employer explaining why you're dying to work there. Don't wait until you feel better. It works the other way around: the more you do, even if it's not very successful, the better you'll feel.
